  • The Maharashtra government has announced that a music academy will be built as a tribute to late veteran singer Lata Mangeshkar. 
  • The academy will reportedly be built in the Kalina Campus of the University of Mumbai. 
  • The 92-year-old singer passed away on February 6 after being hospitalised for 28 days. Her last rites were conducted with full state honours.
