The Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare launched the Digital Geospatial Platform, Agri-Decision Support System (DSS- Decision Support System) on August 16, 2024, introducing a new technology in the Indian agriculture sector.
Agri-DSS is a first-of-its-kind geospatial platform specially designed for Indian agriculture.
Farmers and policymakers will get access to satellite images, weather information, reservoir storage, groundwater levels, and crop status among other important data in real-time. This will enable better decisions for sustainable agriculture and better crop production.
