Mohammed Jalood has been elected as the new IWF President.
Iraqi official Jalood has also served as IWF general secretary for the past five years.
Jalood is the first permanent president since Tamás Aján stepped down in 2020 after 44 years.
Jaloud, one of 11 candidates for the presidency, was a weightlifter himself for 13 years, and also holds citizenship status in Kazakhstan.
Ursula Garza Papandrea is the first female vice president of the IWF.
