Mission Saksham Anganwadi and Poshan 2.0 has integrated Anganwadi services, Poshan Abhiyaan, and the Scheme for Adolescent Girls to accelerate nutrition improvement across India. The Centrally Sponsored Mission focuses on strengthening early childhood care, nutrition, and health through upgraded infrastructure and technology.
The Ministry has launched the Poshan Tracker app for real-time monitoring of Anganwadi activities and beneficiaries. Over 2 lakh Anganwadi Centres are being upgraded as Saksham Anganwadi Centres with digital tools, Wi-Fi, LED screens, RO water purifiers, and child-friendly learning aids. Growth Monitoring Devices, smartphones for workers, Facial Recognition System, and Aadhaar-based tracking have been introduced to ensure transparency and prevent leakages.
