Tokyo Olympics silver medalist Mirabai Chanu has qualified for the 2022 Commonwealth Games in the 55 kg category.
She has made her way to the Commonwealth Games by winning a gold medal at the Singapore Weightlifting International on the very first day itself.
Chanu who was competing in the 55 kg category for the very first time lifted 191 kg (86kg+105kg) to stand on top of the podium in an uncompetitive field.
The Indian weightlifter found her glory after she secured the first medal for India at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
