Ministry of Women and Child Development organized Poshan Utsav at The Oberoi on February 29, 2024, to promote good nutrition behavior and combat malnutrition.
Union Minister for Women and Child Development, Smt. Smriti Zubin Irani, and Mr. Bill Gates, Co-Chair of BMGF, graced the event, highlighting its significance.
Released during the event, the Poshan Utsav Book aims to revive ancient nutrition traditions and serve as a repository of India's culinary heritage.
Launched to support Poshan, this coalition uses popular cartoon characters to convey essential messages on nutrition for positive behavior change among children.
The event emphasized the importance of initiatives like Poshan Abhiyaan and highlighted the significant decline in malnourished children after the operationalization of Poshan Tracker, aiming for a healthier lifestyle among children.
