Microsoft Unveils Maia 200 AI Chip to Reduce Dependence on Nvidia

Microsoft has launched the second generation of its in-house AI chip, Maia 200, along with a new software stack aimed at easing reliance on Nvidia’s ecosystem. The chip will be deployed in Microsoft data centres in Iowa and Arizona as part of its custom AI hardware strategy.
