Meta Platforms announced a significant leadership change as part of its growing focus on artificial intelligence, appointing board member Dina Powell McCormick as president and vice chairman. The appointment elevates a former senior Trump administration official and experienced Wall Street executive to a top leadership role at the tech giant. Powell McCormick most recently served as vice chair, president and head of global client services at BDT & MSD Partners, after spending 16 years in senior positions at Goldman Sachs. She also served as deputy national security adviser to President Donald Trump during his first term and is married to Pennsylvania Republican Senator Dave McCormick.
