  • Dutch Formula One driver Max Verstappen won the Canadian Grand Prix to secure his Red Bull team's 100th victory.
  • Aston Martin's Spanish driver Fernando Alonso was 9.57 seconds behind Verstappen to finish second in Round 9.
  • Mercedes' British racer Lewis Hamilton, who is a seven-time F1 champion, was third, ending the race 14.168 seconds behind the winner.
  • Verstappen is dominating the 2023 season, winning six races out of eight.
  • In addition, Verstappen has bagged the 41st win in his career to level with F1 great Ayrton Senna, who died in 1994 at the age of 34 after a crash during the San Marino Grand Prix in Imola, Italy.
