Max Verstappen won his first Formula One World Championship after defeating Lewis Hamilton in the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix in a contentious season finale.
He has passed Mercedes driver and seven-time champion Lewis Hamilton.
Verstappen, 24, finished first with 26 points, followed by Mercedes' seven-time world champion and seasoned driver Louis Hamilton, who finished second with 18 points.
Ferrari's Carlos Sainz Jr finished third with 15 points.
As a result, Red Bull driver Max Verstappen has been crowned the new Formula One world champion.
