Max Verstappen claimed his first British Grand Prix victory to deliver a record-equalling 11th consecutive win for his Red Bull team and his sixth in successive races.
It was Verstappen’s 43rd career win and his eighth in 10 races this year as he increased his lead ahead of team-mate Sergio Perez in the drivers’ championship to 99 points.
Verstappen’s first-ever British Grand Prix win drew Red Bull level with McLaren’s record run of 11 consecutive race victories in 1988.
McLaren’s Lando Norris started and finished in second place, while Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) stood on his home podium for a 14th time by finishing third.
2023 is the 74th season of the F1 world championship.
