  • Richard M. Sherman, a legendary composer who, along with his late brother Robert as part of the Sherman Brothers duo, passed away at the age of 95. 
  • Their award-winning compositions left an indelible mark on millions of childhoods through iconic Disney films such as "Mary Poppins," "The Jungle Book," and "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang."
  • The Sherman Brothers won two Academy Awards for their work on "Mary Poppins," securing accolades for best score and best song for "Chim Chim Cher-ee." 
  • Their prolific partnership with Disney lasted over a decade, during which they wrote more than 150 songs, including the timeless "It’s a Small World (After All)."
