Richard M. Sherman, a legendary composer who, along with his late brother Robert as part of the Sherman Brothers duo, passed away at the age of 95.
Their award-winning compositions left an indelible mark on millions of childhoods through iconic Disney films such as "Mary Poppins," "The Jungle Book," and "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang."
The Sherman Brothers won two Academy Awards for their work on "Mary Poppins," securing accolades for best score and best song for "Chim Chim Cher-ee."
Their prolific partnership with Disney lasted over a decade, during which they wrote more than 150 songs, including the timeless "It’s a Small World (After All)."
