Manoj Ahuja, presently chairman of the Central Board of Secondary Education, has been appointed as the next Agriculture Secretary.
He was appointed in place of Sanjay Agarwal who will retire at the end of March.
Manoj Ahuja is an IAS officer of the 1990-batch.
The Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare was established in 1947. Its headquarter is in New Delhi.
