  • UNLF The full name of is United National Liberation Front.
  • It is a militant organization based in Manipur.
  • Recently this organization has signed a peace agreement with the Government of India.
  • In the month of November itself, the Home Ministry announced the UNLF. Was banned.
  • All members of the militant organization United National Liberation Front will remain in the camps for the next three years.
  • As per the Home Ministry's Scheme for Surrender-cum-Rehabilitation of Militants in North-Eastern States, 2018, a one-time financial grant of Rs 4 lakh will be provided to each member.
  • The United National Liberation Front was established in November, 1964.
  • Even before Manipur became a full-fledged state, the people of Meitei community were angry with the merger of Manipur with India.
  • The Meitei community had formed this organization.
  • As the activities of this organization increased, in 1980 the Central Government declared the entire Manipur as a disturbed area.
  • In the same year, the Armed Forces Special Powers Act was implemented in Manipur by the Central Government.
