  • Sportswear company adidas has announced that it has roped in table tennis player, Manika Batra as the brand ambassador.
  • The appointment is part of adidas' endeavour to be an ally for women as they aim to break barriers in sport.
  • Batra won the Arjuna Award in 2018 and Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna in 2020.  She joins adidas' roster that includes athletes like Mirabai Chanu, Lovlina Borgohain, Hima Das and Nikhat Zareen, among others.
