  • Malta announced joining the International Solar Alliance.
  • The ISA aims to reduce the need for unreliable sources such as biofuels.
  • The Permanent Secretary of the Maltese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Christopher Kutazar signed the ISA Framework Agreement.
  • The agreement was signed in the presence of Abhishek Singh, Depository and Joint Secretary (Economic Diplomacy) in New Delhi.
  • India welcomed Malta and congratulated it on joining the Solar Alliance as the 119th country.
