Major General Dinesh Kumar Singh was appointed as the Assam Rifles' Additional Director General.
Major General Singh was commissioned into the 'Brigade of the Guards' in 1990.
He had previously worked as an aide-de-camp to the Army Chief of Staff, as an instructor and adjutant at the National Defence Academy in Pune, and as a defence attaché in Brazil.
