  • Lord Mahavir was the son of king Sidhartha and Queen Trisala. He was born in Kundalagrama, Bihar, on the 13th day of the Hindu calendar month Chaitra in 599 BC as per swetambars while the Digambar Jains believe he took birth in 615 BC.
