  • Maharashtra, with 56 gold medals and a total tally of 161, won the Khelo India Youth Games 2023 title in Madhya Pradesh.
  • The Khelo India Youth Games is a flagship event under the government of India’s Khelo India initiative. 
  • The KIYG 2023 was the fifth edition.
  • Maharashtra has won a total of 161 medals - 56 gold, 55 silver and 50 bronze.
  • Maharashtra had earlier won this title in 2019, 2020 as well.
  • Haryana had won this title in 2018 as well as last year.
  • Haryana claimed the first runners-up trophy with 128 medals - 41 golds, 32 silvers and 55 bronze. Hosts Madhya Pradesh managed 39 golds, 30 silvers and 27 bronze medals to finish third on the KIYG 2022 medals table.
