  • On World Health Day, Maharashtra government launched the ₹65.25 crore “Majha Gaon, Arogyasampann Gaon” (My Village, Healthy Village) campaign in Mumbai.
  • The scheme was inaugurated by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis along with Deputy CM Eknath Shinde and other senior leaders.
  • It aims to strengthen rural healthcare, make quality treatment accessible locally, and promote self-reliant villages.
  • Focus areas include preventive healthcare, sanitation, safe drinking water, nutrition, and control of infectious and lifestyle diseases.
  • Special attention will be given to maternal-child health and mental health.
  • Committees have been formed at all levels for monitoring; best-performing villages will be awarded the title “Arogyasampann Gaon”.
