Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari presented the Mother Teresa Memorial Award for 2021 to actor and UN Goodwill Ambassador for Environment Dia Mirza and ‘UN Champion of the Earth’ awardee Afroz Shah.
The awards instituted by the Harmony Foundation were presented to Dia Mirza and Afroz Shah in recognition of their outstanding work for the protection of the environment.
Mr Afroz Shah was awarded for his impeccable and seminal efforts to lead one of the world’s largest beach clean-up movements in India that have inspired people around the world.
