The annual Mahaparinirvan Din is held on December 6 to commemorate the death anniversary of Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar, the chief architect of the Indian Constitution.
Dr. B R Ambedkar's 65th death anniversary is commemorated by Mahaparinirwan Diwas 2021, which reminds us of his role as an economist, activist, and flag-bearer of Dalit activism in India.
Babasaheb Ambedkar, who died on December 6, 1956, was the 14th and last child of his parents and was born in Madhya Pradesh.
'Parinirvana' is a Buddhist term that refers to someone who has experienced nirvana both during his lifetime and after death.
The death anniversary of BR Ambedkar is known as Mahaparinirvan Diwas because he renounced Hinduism and inspired the Dalit Buddhist Movement in the country.
