Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan has announced that his government will start 'Ladli Bahina Scheme' for women from poor financial background and provide them ₹1,000 per month.
Around ₹60,000 crore will be spent on the scheme in five years.
Chouhan said poor women from all sections can benefit from this scheme even if they have been receiving benefits of other welfare programmes.
The CM also announced plans to construct a Narmada corridor and Narmada Lok on the lines of the Mahakal Lok at Ujjain's Mahakaleshwar temple.

A second effusive eruption began at Piton de la Fournaise on La Réunion on February 13, with lava flowing down the Grandes Pentes slopes.
