  • Lt Gen Manoj Kumar Mago has been appointed as the 34th Commandant of the National Defence College (NDC) in New Delhi.
  • He will take over for Air Marshal D Choudhury, who retired on November 30, 2021.
  • On December 15, 1984, he was commissioned into the GUARDS' elite 7th Battalion Brigade, and later led a total of 16 GUARDS.
  • For his outstanding contributions, he has been awarded Yudh Seva Medal and Sena Medal (twice).
  • Lt Gen Manoj Kumar Mago was heading the famous 10 Corps before becoming the Commandant of the NDC.
