Lieutenant General Raghu Srinivasan has been appointed as the new Director General of the Border Roads Organization (BRO) in October, 2023.
This appointment was made by the Appointments Committee of the Union Cabinet.
Raghu Srinivasan has replaced Lieutenant General Rajiv Chaudhary on this post.
Raghu Srinivasan is the 28th Director General of the Border Roads Organisation.
Raghu Srinivasan started his military career in the year 1987 from the Corps of Engineers.
Lieutenant General Srinivasan's expertise lies in serving in the border areas of India, particularly Ladakh, Arunachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir, providing unique insight into the infrastructure needs.
The Border Roads Organization was established in May, 1960.
