  • Lieutenant General Raghu Srinivasan has been appointed as the new Director General of the Border Roads Organization (BRO) in October, 2023.
  • This appointment was made by the Appointments Committee of the Union Cabinet.
  • Raghu Srinivasan has replaced Lieutenant General Rajiv Chaudhary on this post.
  • Raghu Srinivasan is the 28th Director General of the Border Roads Organisation.
  • Raghu Srinivasan started his military career in the year 1987 from the Corps of Engineers.
  • Lieutenant General Srinivasan's expertise lies in serving in the border areas of India, particularly Ladakh, Arunachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir, providing unique insight into the infrastructure needs.
  • The Border Roads Organization was established in May, 1960.
