·        Lewis Hamilton became the first Formula One driver to win 100 races with a win at the "Russian Grand Prix", regaining the championship lead from Max Verstappen.

·        It was Hamilton's fifth win of the season and after the 'British Grand Prix' it was his first victory since.

·        Max Verstappen (Red Bull-Netherlands) finished second while Carlos Sainz Jr. (Ferrari-Spain) finished third in 2021 at the Russian Grand Pre
