Leena Nair, a former Unilever executive, has been named Global CEO of Chanel, the French luxury group.
Nair has left Unilever to become CEO of the fashion house Chanel.
Nair, 52, was the first female and youngest-ever Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) of Anglo-Dutch consumer giant Unilever
Nair has worked in the industry for nearly three decades. In 1992, she joined Hindustan Unilever Ltd (HUL) as a management trainee after earning a gold medal from the Xavier School of Management, one of India's premier B-schools.
