  • Ladakh's capital city, Leh, received its first FM radio station
  • Umang Narula, Advisor of Ladakh, launched the first-ever Top FM radio station in Leh.
  • The F.M frequency for Leh and Kargil will be 91.1 FM, with a radius of 50 kilometres.
  • FM broadcasting began in India in 1977. However, it took off after 2001, when India began privatising FM broadcasting. All India Radio's FM LRS (Local Radio Station) was inaugurated on July 1, 2001.
  • FM broadcasting is a type of radio broadcasting that uses frequency modulation (FM). It was invented in 1933 by American engineer Edwin Armstrong.
