  • Kolkata's Anish Sarkar became the youngest-rated chess player in history at just three years, eight months and 19 days old. 
  • Born on January 26, 2021, Anish made his competitive chess debut with the West Bengal State Under-9 Open in October, scoring 5.5 points out of 8 and beating two rated players – Aarav Chatterjee and Ahilan Baishya to finish 24th overall.
