Actor-politician Khushbu Sundar from Tamil Nadu has been nominated as a member of the National Commission for Women. She is presently a member of the BJP’s national executive committee.
The order issued by the NCW Director said that the nomination is for a period of three years from the date of assumption of charge or till the age of 65 years, whichever is earlier.
Besides Sundar, the Centre has also nominated Mamta Kumari and Delina Khongdup as members of the commission.
After marking a long stint in the acting industry, Khushbu joined politics in 2010.
