Khongjom Day is an annual event celebrated on 23 April to commemorate the soldiers who fought in the Anglo-Manipuri War of 1891.

The Anglo-Manipuri War of 1891 took place at Khongjom and marked the beginning of colonial rule in the region.
The Anglo-Manipur War was an armed conflict between the British Empire and the Kingdom of Manipur.
The war lasted between 31 March and 27 April 1891, in which the British won, but Tikendrajit Singh had shaved the teeth of the British with his political wisdom.
