Kerala's new ICT curriculum for Class 7 includes a practical chapter on ‘Computer Vision’, where students will learn to create an AI program that recognizes up to seven human facial expressions.
This experiential learning aims to give students a practical understanding of AI technology.
Kerala is the first state in India to introduce AI education uniformly for all students in a particular class.
This initiative reflects the state’s dedication to equipping its students with the knowledge and skills necessary to thrive in the digital era.
The new ICT textbooks for Classes 1, 3, 5, and 7 will be published in multiple languages, including Malayalam, English, Tamil, and Kannada.
