  • The International Cricket Council (ICC) announced Heather Knight and Keegan Petersen as the winners of the ICC Players of the Month Award for January 2022.
  • Keegan Petersen was nominated alongside South Africa Under-19 cricketer Dewald Brevis and Bangladesh pacer Ebadot Hossain and he was successful in winning the award after his brilliant performance against India in the three-match Test series.
  • For the women's award, England skipper Heather Knight beat off competition from Sri Lanka captain Chamari Athapaththu and West Indies star Deandra Dottin to be named ICC Player of the Month for January 2022.
