  • Cattle competitions and traditional games for youngsters are held in rural areas during the Kanuma Festival, with events such as bullfighting (Pasuvula panduga) being special attractions.
  • In Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, Sankranti is celebrated for three days, known as 'Bhogi', 'Sankranti' and 'Kanuma'. Today is the main festival of Sankranti, followed by the 'Kanuma' festival, in which cattle are worshiped.
