  • Jyoti Ratre, an entrepreneur and fitness enthusiast from Madhya Pradesh, has become the oldest Indian woman to conquer Mount Everest. The 55-year-old mountaineer reached the summit on 19 May 2024.
  • Became the oldest Indian woman to summit Mount Everest, reaching an altitude of 8,848.86 meters.
  • She was part of a 15-member team led by Bolivian climber David Hugo Ayaviri Quispe, achieving the feat on her second attempt after weather conditions thwarted her 2023 climb at 8,160 meters.
  • Jyoti Atre broke the record previously held by 53-year-old Sangeeta Bahl, who summited Everest on May 19, 2018.
