Indian compound archer Jyothi Surekha Vennam created history by clinching a bronze medal at the Archery World Cup Final in Nanjing, China — the first-ever by an Indian woman.
She outperformed Britain’s Ella Gibson 150–145 with a flawless 15 tens.
Earlier, Jyothi had defeated USA’s Alexis Ruiz in the quarterfinals before narrowly losing to world number one Andrea Becerra of Mexico in the semis.
