Syed Refaat Ahmed takes oath as the 25th Chief Justice of Bangladesh
Syed Refaat Ahmed has been sworn in as the 25th Chief Justice of Bangladesh, replacing Obaidul Hasan following his resignation.
President Mohammad Shahabuddin administered the oath of office to him at the Durbar Hall of Bangabhaban on 11 August. The President appointed Syed Refaat Ahmed.
Syed Refaat Ahmed was born on December 28, 1958. His father, Barrister Syed Ishtiaq Ahmed, served as the former Attorney General of Bangladesh.
