  • Justice Amit Sharma was sworn in as a permanent judge of Delhi High Court. 
  • Chief Justice Satish Chandra Sharma administered the oath to him in the presence of other judges.
  • On May 31, 2022, Central Government had notified the appointment of Justice Amit Sharma, who was practicing as a lawyer earlier, as Additional Judge of Delhi High Court. 
  • He took oath as the Additional Judge on June 01, 2022. His name was recommended by the Supreme Court Collegium for elevation as the judge of the Delhi High Court in November 2021.
  • The high court presently has 45 judges, including 10 women judges, against a sanctioned strength of 60.
