  • The Hemant Soren government of Jharkhand launched the "Mukhyamantri Maiyan Samman Yojana" on 16 August 2024, which will provide financial assistance to eligible women of the state. 
  • Under the Mukhyamantri Maiyan Samman Yojana, women holding green or yellow ration cards between 21 and 50 years of age will be given an assistance amount of Rs 12,000 every year, which will be deposited in their single linked bank account as Rs 1,000 every month.
  • Application forms are being received by organizing camps in district panchayat buildings till 10 August 2024 and forms have been made available to all Anganwadi workers of the state.
  • The government has encouraged more and more women to take advantage of the scheme and will require ration cards as documents.
