On 1 December 2024, he took over as the Chairman of the International Cricket Council (ICC).
The 36-year-old Jay Shah replaces New Zealander Greg Barclay. Shah was elected unopposed to the post in August this year.
Shah is the fifth Indian to hold the top post in the ICC.
Before him, Jagmohan Dalmiya, Sharad Pawar, N Srinivasan and Shashank Manohar have also served as ICC bosses.
