  • On 1 December 2024, he took over as the Chairman of the International Cricket Council (ICC).
  • The 36-year-old Jay Shah replaces New Zealander Greg Barclay. Shah was elected unopposed to the post in August this year. 
  • Shah is the fifth Indian to hold the top post in the ICC. 
  • Before him, Jagmohan Dalmiya, Sharad Pawar, N Srinivasan and Shashank Manohar have also served as ICC bosses.
