  • The world's first dual-mode vehicle has been launched in Japan's Kayo city, which can run on roads as well as tracks.
  • The DMV resembles a minibus and is equipped with standard rubber tyres.
  • The mini bus-shaped vehicle runs on normal rubber tires on the road. But it turned itself into a train when steel wheels descend from its underbelly onto the track.
  • This Dual-mode vehicle has been launched by Asa Coast Railway Company.
  • The DMV can transport up to 21 passengers and travels at a speed of 60km/h on rail tracks and up to 100km/h on public roads.
