Researchers in Japan have collaborated to create LignoSat, the world's first satellite made from magnolia wood.
Developed jointly by Kyoto University and Sumitomo Forestry, LignoSat is aimed at reducing space debris and is scheduled for launch aboard a SpaceX rocket from the Kennedy Space Center in September.
