  • Recently, the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir has constituted a high level committee to get information about illegal foreigners living in the state.
  • This committee is headed by Additional Chief Secretary R. Of. Will be done by Goyal.
  • Apart from this, senior officials of Jammu and Kashmir Police and CID will also be included in the committee.
  • The aim of this committee is to identify Rohingya Muslims, foreign nationals of Bangladesh and families of surrendered terrorists living in Kashmir.
  • Based on the report of the committee, the Jammu and Kashmir government will create a data bank of all foreign nationals and people living illegally.
  • This committee will identify foreign nationals living illegally in Jammu and Kashmir from January 1, 2011.
  • The committee will submit its report to the Union Home Ministry.
