The 78th Army Day Parade was held on the streets of Jaipur, marking the first time the event took place outside a cantonment area. President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi greeted the troops, underscoring the theme of “Nation First.”
The decision, inspired by the Prime Minister, aimed to strengthen public engagement with the armed forces.
The parade drew thousands of spectators and was attended by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma and Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi.
Marching contingents included the newly raised elite Bhairav Battalion, alongside displays of advanced military hardware such as T-90 tanks, Pinaka rocket launchers and M-777 howitzers.
