  • Sanjay Arora, the head of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), has been given additional responsibility for the post of Director General Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB).
  • He will succeed Kumar Rajesh Chandra.
  • Chandra, a Bihar cadre IPS officer from the 1985 batch, took over as Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) DG in January 2019. On December 31, he will retire.
  • Sanjay Arora, a Tamil Nadu cadre officer from the 1988 batch, was appointed as the Director-General of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) in August and took command of the India-China LAC guarding force on September 1.
