  • The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) successfully carried out the Spadex docking experiment on the morning of January 16, 2025, making India the fourth country to achieve this historic feat after the US, Russia and China.
  • The Spadex mission was aimed at demonstrating autonomous docking technology, which on 12 January 2025 succeeded in reducing the distance between satellites by 3 meters.
  • On December 30, 2024, the two satellites SDX01 (Chaser) and SDX02 (Target) launched by PSLV C60 successfully docked as the space agency officials of the Mission Operations Complex (MOX) in ISRO Telemetry, Tracking and Command Network (ISTRAC) oversaw the complex docking process.
