International Week of Science and Peace is organized every year from 9 to 14 November.
This event is celebrated to encourage people to develop better technology and maintain peace in their countries.
The annual celebration of this event contributes to the promotion of science, technologies and peace as well as creating awareness among the general public.
International Week of Science and Peace was first celebrated in the year 1986.
This week was declared to be celebrated by the United Nations General Assembly in December, 1988.
