International Jazz Day is celebrated annually on April 30th.
It aims to raise awareness
of the virtues of jazz as an educational tool, and a force for peace, unity, dialogue, and enhanced cooperation among people.
Established by UNESCO in 2011, it brings together communities, schools, artists, historians, academics, and jazz enthusiasts all over the world to celebrate and learn about jazz and its roots, future, and impact.
The city of Tangier, Morocco has been selected as the global host city for International Jazz Day 2024.
The city will host International Jazz Day events, which will be attended by people from all over the world.
