International Jaguar Day is celebrated every year on 29 November.
Its scientific name is Panthera onca.
It is listed as a threatened species on the IUCN Red List.
It is included in Schedule 1 of CITES.
The jaguar is the only big cat and the largest carnivore in Latin America.
It is found in up to 18 countries from Mexico to Argentina.
Jaguar Forum 2030 was adopted by the United Nations General Assembly in the year 2018.
