Every year in November 2021, International Fisheries Day is observed to highlight the sustainability factors of the fishing industry.
Apart from this, this day is also very important for maintaining the balance of the ecosystem and its surroundings.
In 1997, the World Fisheries Forum (WFF) was established as a forum for the World Fisheries Consortium (the World Fisheries Forum). A global consensus document that marked the standardization of fishing practices was signed by as many as 18 countries.
The first World Fisheries Day was observed on November 21, 2015.
On the same day, the International Fishermen's Organization held its grand opening in New Delhi.
This year's theme is 'The fishing industry, a mix of nature and the environment, and a greater focus on biodiversity.
